Do different models cost different amounts?

Yes. Newer and higher-fidelity models cost more per generation, and within a model, higher resolution and longer duration increase the cost.

If you're iterating on an idea, a practical pattern is: draft cheaply (fast model, low resolution), then re-run the final version on a premium model at high quality.
